Five components for one product
Salt, energy, edible gold, packaging, and labels—all Swiss Made—that was the plan.
However, when choosing suppliers, it proved necessary to look beyond the country’s borders. Ultimately, the energy salt shares its Made in Swiss label with Made in Europe.
Swiss salt – Salt mines in Bex
The salt mine in Bex provides the basis for Kraftsalz. The Swiss salt used and processed for the production of Kraftsalz comes from this saltworks.
Sel des Alpes has been part of Swiss history since 1554. Sel des Alpes as a brand has been produced and packaged for centuries with a wealth of expertise and technological innovation in the saltworks of Bex. As a Swiss cultural asset, this white gold can be found in every Swiss household.
According to legend, in the 15th century, a shepherd was leading his goats to the hills of Bex when he noticed that his herd always stopped to drink from the same spring. After tasting it, he realized that the water was salty.
The primordial sea Thetys, which receded from our region 200 million years ago to make way for the Alps, left behind the famous salt in the rock.
The whole story can be experienced “on site.” Simply book an admission ticket and head into the (salt) mountain!

Manetti for edible gold
Nothing else could show off this precious salt better than gold leaf cut to within a tenth of a millimeter. The gold is mixed generously and carefully into the power salt in the form of crumbs and powder.
Manetti’s history dates back to the 16th century. Almost as long as Sel des Alpes, Manetti also looks back on a long tradition and company history. The family business from Florence, Italy, now in its 15th generation of successful management, manufactures and supplies every conceivable industry worldwide with processed precious metals such as silver and gold.
In the form of gold leaf, flakes, crumbs, or powder, the precious metal, which is harmless to health and neutral in taste, is also used in upscale gastronomy.
Kraftsalz is proud to use a product with such a long history and quality of 23 carats. The gold undoubtedly lends Kraftsalz a sensuality. When salting, the small gold crumbs and powder dance in the air above the food. A moment to pause. Precious. Slowing down. Sublime. Visible refinement by Manetti Gold.
Basically, if the game is to transform a gold ingot into a sheet of gold leaf as light as a mosquito, then they’re the best in the world at that game.

Staffel Medien
Doing justice to the content and making a profitable first impression on consumers. That was precisely the motivation for commissioning a reputable manufacturer to produce the labels for the Kraftsalz packaging. You eat with your eyes first. The packaging must live up to the content. No deception, no false promises.
Consistency and availability, as well as spontaneous deliveries or uncomplicated development of new designs for upcoming products. Listening to the customer and accompanying them in the design and implementation of their idea, supporting them in their decision-making with 3D visualization, and finally delighting them with a flawless end product. All of these were criteria for the printing company.
For Kraftsalz, only a printing company with its own design department came into question: Staffel Medien AG.
As a media company for offline and online solutions in Zurich, Staffel Medien also impresses with its attitude towards the environment. Climate-neutral printers with green electricity or hybrid vehicles for the delivery of printed materials. All in all, a partner for the future!
Incidentally, Staffel Medien AG celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2021.

Kraftsalz on your dining table
When a raw product that has been left to rest for 200 million years and recharge its batteries for eight weeks is mixed with gold, poured into a purple container, and finally carefully labeled and sealed, the result is Kraftsalz. The result is pure enjoyment.
The result is tango in your mouth.
